I just had to kill my best friend. Do you know how much crap that is?

Well, that was a really sketchy way to start this. Sorry about that. Let me explain myself a little bit. I’m not usually a murderer, but when you see your life flashing before your eyes….you do what you gotta do. Knife in the forehead and I didn’t hesitate for a second. Who the hell am I anymore?
My name is Rhage and I’m 22 years old, first year Grad student at UNLV. I’m average height, weight, and build. There isn’t much special about me. I don’t know martial arts or how to use a weapon. I don’t have a stash of canned food and water bottles. I wasn’t prepared for this at all. My live in boyfriend at the time was all about “keeping the family safe.” I didn’t have to worry about much. Well, he’s kinda dead now so I’m on my own.
It’s day 13 of the outbreak. Erica wasn’t the first one that I’ve had to kill. I had to kill my sister a few days back. It’s okay, I didn’t really like her that much anyways. She always stole my boyfriends. ANYWAYS, it isn’t really the time or place to play question Rhage’s morals.
Like I said, it’s day 13 of the outbreak. While the government is trying to convince us this is a temporary problem, we’re all out here fighting for our lives. They keep saying that they’ve prepared for this kind of thing. Zombies? You prepared for zombies? We were spending tax money preparing for fictional creatures? Not likely. Lets be honest, anyone who would’ve suggested a contingency plan for zombies would’ve been laughed right out of office. Mr. President is just trying (and failing) to keep the public calm.
When the outbreak originally was announced I was in class. Someone who had been looking at their phone started yelling about how it was finally happening. We all ignored him and continued on with the lecture. That night it was broadcast on the news. It had already taken over most of Africa and Europe. They’d been keeping it a secret from us until now.
So far, I’ve survived by teaming up with Erica. We had found an abandoned dorm hall on UNLV campus and decided to take the top floor. Looking out of the window, we could see any possible intruders. We were lucky, someone had already come and killed the reanimated. If we would’ve showed up and had to fight our way through…I have no idea what we would have done. The grocery store down the street was charging $100 for everything you could fit into a cart. We got cases of water and anything that we figured would last a while without going bad. We were set for a bit. She’s gone now. I have no idea what I am going to do.
I’d only left for a minute…I needed to go to get first aid products from the store. She was dead by the time I got back. I’ve gone over and over in my head what could’ve happened. I locked the door. She knew I was leaving and to be on her guard. I don’t know who bit her, when she was bit, I don’t know anything. All I know is that she had changed by the time I got back and I killed her.
Well, there’s your update. I’m going to go clean up Erica’s body and figure out my next steps. If anyone reads this, send help okay?….Who am I kidding? There is no help. All for one.

Personality: Really nice but withdrawn from most people. Once she opens up though, she will talk your ears off.

Personality: Wants everyone to like him, easy to get along with, thinks he is really funny (is usually pretty funny)

Major: Has double Major in both Bio Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering Science.
Basic Background: Eden was born in a family of achievers. His father worked with NASA and his mother was a high ranking officer in the military, his brother Dorian was of lesser ranking officer. Eden and his Brother were always close, like two sides of one coin when they worked together they could achieve anything. They even went to UNLV to study together, and ended up holding up there after the widespread panic of zombies broke out. To Eden the world was going down, but he stayed by Dorian's side to watch his brothers back.
Any Addictions: Building things, building lots of things.
Any skills: Has Majored in a few platforms of Chemistry, Has built a plethora of devices since a young age. Is able to Multitask under pressure.
Personality: Eden is a natural introvert, he doesn't say much to anyone except to Dorian. Even in times of peril he barely makes a sound. He's ever moving, ever thinking bout what to do next. So much so he has dedicated himself like a Savant to gaining knowledge on how to build and what makes up the human being itself. It was his way of trying to understand himself. When the zombie outbreak began, he was lit up with a sense of excitement. His mind is somewhat odd to the normal person. He's utterly fascinated with the Zombie outbreak, not only is he intrigued in the biological aspect of the virus but his mad humor of creating deathtraps to slaughter them only six days later. Now somewhat twisted in the head but still quiet and content in manner, sometimes people could see the glint of crazy in his eyes when one of his machines mows down the undead.

Major: Double Major In Psychology and Sociology.
Basic Background: Dorian grew up in a very well achieved family, he himself joined the military and became a ranking officer. Even got to spend time over seas for a short while before coming home to do some studying with his brother at UNLV. Back in the force Dorian was awarded with a few medals of honor for achieving above expectation qualities and was on the way of receiving new rank. It was at the that time the outbreak happened. Dorian had nothing but a 9mm with him, full clip and his Brothers genius engineering skills to back him up. They needed to work together, gather supplies and help other survivors. They needed to survive.
Any Addictions: Had an addiction to alcohol but quit when joined the military. Now is actively seeking out ways to increase his "Combat High" during the apocalypse.
Any skills: One of the finest marksmen in the force and has third highest kill confirmed. Has been trained in Medical procedures as a replacing field medic. Has mastered CQC and Is able to tap into a form of higher cognitive focus while under extreme pressure much like Eden from "Combat High".
Personality:Dorian is a loving person, unlike Eden Dorian is a pure socialist. Hes always ready to jump into danger to save others from harm, even at the risk of himself. During his trips overseas he's put himself in jeopardy hundreds of times to the point that combat high kicks in the second he hears a bullet. The next his hand is on his weapon, knife at the ready, shots fired, kills confirmed. Till the high comes down he becomes someone else, a combat expert who excels in CQC who doesn't have any inkling of fear or panic. Its just becomes a blinding flurry of knife swings and bullets.

After a while, most of the stores would have been looted through. You can't always rely on that for food anymore.

Rhage walked through the top floor of the building. Setting small booby traps as she went. She didn't want any surprises. They weren't anything too extreme, floss attached to cups filled with pencils and such. If anyone knocked them over, she'll hear them. Sitting down, she couldn't even figure out what to do now. TV and radio had been down for days now. How in the fuck were they supposed to know what was going on in the world? What was the government doing to fix this?

Ethan walked onto campus and looked around, it was almost completely empty. Where can I go?, he thought to himself. He hadn't slept in days. He really hadn't gotten the chance yet. His neighborhood was all but overrun by those THINGS. He need to find somewhere to sleep. Then maybe he could figure out what to do next.

Thea and Sebastian had been together when the first news of zombies had blared from the tv. They thought it was maybe a joke, was it possible someone just changed the promoter for a good laugh but when they went outside they saw it was no joke. They ran back to Thea's room to gather as much food as they could carry, luckily she pretty much lived off energy bars and water. They stuffed back packs full of blankets, water, clothes and food and made way to the theater. Thea couldn't stop thinking the orchestra pit would be the perfect hiding place. It would be tight but they could make it work. They made it in one piece, they had seen blood and hurt people but no zombies. They didn't stop for anyone. Sebastian begged for her to stop but Thea refused, everyone was going to have to fend for themselves. They reached the pit and Thea turned the lights on, it was dusty and cramped due to the instruments and few props they used the heaviest things to block the door and watites.
Was there a word for beyond bored? Thea thought through all the words she could think of for something to accurately describe how she felt. But she knew for a fact she definitely wanted a cigarette. She hadn't ended up with any and she hadn't found any. People are so annoying. Tapping her feet softly against the wall she waited for Sebastian to come back. It had felt like forever since this thing started and after what was possibly weeks they ventured out of the pit. They looked in every room and even found a little more food. Weapons had been a big must and they only found wood pieces that they put nails through. This place was sealed off and so far nothing had happened. If they rationed the food properly they might not ever have to venture out and see this new world. Sighing she got up and opened the door and looked out, he was taking way to long.

Sebastian was having a hard time carrying the snack cakes he found and his weapon. He was kicking himself for not bringing a back pack, granted he hadn't expected to find anything. He was only supposed to check the doors and windows. Everything was still locked up tight. He was making his way back to Thea but he kept dropped things, he was relieved when he saw her but she wasn't pleased at his dalliance. She gave him a tongue lashing and then took some of the cakes from him. He was still amazed at how she could be so calm, so uncaring. She hadn't cried or mentioned her family, she didn't even act like she really wanted him around. She wouldn't even sleep next to him anymore. She had been distant before but it was never like this. How much longer could this go on? Years? They wouldn't make it, or at least he wouldn't.

Aeron didn't easily open up to people, so she was surprised that she had become quick friends with Michael, who had been in one of her classes. They ended up working on a project together, which is how she got to know him in the first place. They had been hanging out, just watching TV, when the news took over the channel. They weren't sure what to think of the announcement, but they figured since it took over the channel, it wasn't completely a joke. They made sure the doors were locked to Aeron's dorm room, and checked to see what kind of supplies she had. Neither of them had been given a roommate yet, so it was only her stuff. Luckily Aeron had a paranoid single dad, so she had some supplies for emergencies. She also kept some stuff around to remind her of her childhood, all pretty much camping equipment. There wasn't much use for it out in Nevada, but her dad had insisted.

Aeron was mentally taking stock of everything she had, not worrying too much. Her dad sent her stuff all the time. She was scared to leave the room though. Michael had wanted to go back to his dorm, which was in the same building. He said he had stuff that would be helpful, but she didn't want him to go out. Neither of them really knew what was going on. She grabbed a water bottle and tossed it to him, and grabbed another for herself. Nevada wasn't the ideal place for her, because when Aeron got warm, she would drink like a fish. It was just how she was.

Michael was miffed that Aeron had asked him not to go, but even though he knew she was capable of taking care of herself, he wanted to protect her. It was how he had been raised, to protect those that needed it. He started going through her stuff while he sipped on the water she had given him. When he felt confident they had enough for now, and remembering that he had locked his dorm room up, he sat back at the TV, waiting for more news. They had been doing a Netflix marathon, so he was trying to figure out just how long this thing had probably been going on for. Amazingly, they hadn't heard any noise from around them. Maybe it was because they had the TV turned up so loud?
